Competition Overview

The Premier League will operate as a separate competition from the current Saturday Junior Domestic Competition.

This structure has been designed to provide flexibility for players and clubs, while maintaining the integrity of both competitions.

The league will be offered in both Boys and Girls for the following age groups:

– Under 12’s

-Under 14’s

-Under 16’s

 

Competition Structure

  • Opt-in competition (no grading process).
  • Provisions will be made to avoid game clashes.
    • Clubs must submit formal scheduling requests where required.
  • Pricing will remain the same as the Saturday Junior Domestic Competition.

Team Registration Fee: $80

Weekly Team Sheet: $88

Player Eligibility & Points

  • No Points Restrictions apply within the Premier League.
    • Players will not carry representative points into this competition.
    • The Junior Representative Players Points System Guidelines will not apply to Premier League teams.
  • Players may compete in:
    • Premier League (no points restrictions), and
    • Saturday Domestic A–F Grade (where the current points system applies).
  • Players are permitted to play two games in the same age group (one Premier League and one Saturday Domestic).

Permits & Imports

  • A permit is required if a player participates in the Premier League for a different Casey Domestic club than their Saturday Domestic team.
  • Each club is permitted:
    • A maximum of two (2) import players per age group, per gender, per season.

Import Definition:
An import player is defined as a player who was registered with another Casey Domestic club in the previous season. This excludes players who are participating with a permit.

Players from outside the Casey Basketball Association are not considered imports.
