Try out Registration Costs

To help cover the increasing costs associated with running our try out process, a small registration fee will apply for the upcoming trials.

Phase 1

• All Phase 1 athletes: $5 registration fee.

Phase 2

• Athletes from external VJBL clubs and successful Phase 1 athletes: $20 registration fee.
• Current Casey Cavaliers VJBL athletes: No charge. Eligible athletes will receive a unique registration code to access their FREE registration.

Please Note:

• Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Current Casey Cavaliers VJBL athletes must use their allocated FREE registration code when registering.
    • If the code is not used and payment is made, no refund will be provided.

Phase 2 – All Existing VJBL Athletes + Invited Domestic Athletes Only

NOTE: Phase 2 tryouts are only for players who have played representative basketball for Casey or any other Association in the 24/25 or 25/26 VJBL seasons, as well as those athletes who were successful in phase 1 tryouts. (Future Cavs Academy participants must complete phase 1).
If you DO NOT currently play representative and DID NOT attend the Phase 1 trials, you are unable to attend Phase 2 trials.

Please ensure you read the following additional information:

• • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your tryouts begins.
  • All athletes must bring a basketball, drink bottle and a light & dark singlet/top (reversible preferred).
  • Parents are not permitted to watch the tryouts, you will need to drop your child off at registration and return at the conclusion of the tryout to pick them up.
  • IF you are attending tryouts and are from another representative club, you MUST have a completed permission to train organized before attending or taking the court.
  • IMPORTANT: All trials in phase 2 are compulsory, unless you are otherwise notified.

NOTE: Phase 1 tryouts are only for players who have not played representative basketball for Casey or any other Association in the past AND currently play domestic basketball. Please scroll down to phase 2 trials to see phase 2 eligibility.

Participants can still register in person up to 30mins prior to their tryout beginning
